Photo retailer in Holland making the switch from Wetlab to Drylab!
In the world of photo printing, wetlabs were once the standard. But with the advent of drylab technology, more and more photo retailers are making the switch.
One such retailer in Holland has made the transition from wetlab to drylab, with the help of BlueFX’s custom workflow solution.
The challenge was seamlessly integrating the new drylab with the old wetlab, as well as accommodating incoming orders from multiple sources.
That’s where BlueFX came in. With our custom workflow solution, the retailer was able to take in orders from their Pixsy kiosk, as well as two web download streams, and intelligently print to both the old and new machines – Wet and Dry.
But what if the print size can’t fit on either printer? Send to the Plotter! With an automated digital workflow in place, the retailer now has the flexibility to add more SureLab D700s or replace the old Frontier wetlab.
